What a crazy year….
For those of you who know me well, you’re probably already aware that it’s been the hardest year of my life. For those who aren’t aware, I’ve lost loved ones, had heart breaking diagnosis’ in my family… lost friendships and had multiple traumatic life changes.
I’ve hardly posted my photos because I’ve not wanted attention in this space… which is weird considering it’s my job! But the break was kind of needed.
There have been many positives… I’ve had so much support from family and friends it’s almost overwhelming! I had no idea how many people out there care for me and want to be there for me.
I’ve actually met some incredible people this year through my work, and I’ve realised how amazing my job is… my good mate Dharran has been assisting me lately, and he said to me ‘Dude, you literally have the best job in the world!’ and he’s right! So I decided to spend a couple of hours today sifting through a handful of shoots that stood out to me.
You’ll notice there’s a person in every image? When someone finds out I’m a photographer, they often ask what I photograph… the first thing that pops out of my mouth ‘Mostly people!’… surf, landscape etc etc are all wonderful things, but so much more meaningful for me if there’s people in the images.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my work, hired me, worked with me, encouraged me to post and shared with others. You’re all amazing!
Have a wonderful New Years! And watch this space for new and exciting things next year!
Peace!
Luke
